Pistachio Parrot

Pistachio Parrot is an album mostly written in Greece, with artwork and song titles to reflect different moments of that vacation. The album serves as a musical postcard and memory of time spent there, drinking coffee on the terrace watching the wild cats run about, or walking along the harbour seeing the small fish dart about. Recorded on Alan’s new guitar in single takes with no punch-ins, overdubs or other effects, two versions of the album, a final version recorded at Emil-Berliner Studios and a demo version recorded on a guitar that lives in the kitchen of Alan’s home at Hansa Studios.

Tales from Home

Tales from Home is a short documentary filmed and produced by Freya Wells. It follows the journey of Alan’s visit to Australia in early 2025 to visit his home island of Tasmania to visit friends and family and to also record a number of songs reimagined of the first ever guitar he played, shared with audiences both near and far.
